Sometimes a customer calls asking if we can just patch things up and keep it moving. We get it - repair is almost always cheaper upfront. But every now and then, we show up and the answer is a hard no.

This was one of those times. What you're looking at is a faucet so corroded and deteriorated that there's simply nothing left to work with. The metal is eaten through, mineral buildup has taken over, and the internal components are completely shot. No washer swap or cartridge replacement is going to fix that.

Here's the honest truth - not every faucet repair call ends in a repair. Part of our job is telling you straight what's actually going on under the surface. A lot of plumbers will attempt a band-aid fix just to get paid and get out. We'd rather give you a real answer, even if it's not the one you were hoping for.

When a faucet reaches this point, replacement is the only path forward. And honestly, that's not always bad news. A new faucet means no more drips, no more mineral buildup issues, and no more wondering when the next problem is going to pop up.

We handle faucet repair and replacement all the time. And we'll always tell you which one actually makes sense for your situation.
